Synopsis

When In a Holidaze started, I was a little worried. It seemed, well, very YA like to me. The main character, who was 26, talked about making out with a guy, and well, it just seemed a little juvenile to me.
But because it’s Christina Lauren, I kept reading, and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed Maelyn getting more assertive as the time looks continued. It also made for some very humorous parts of the story! Like every story with a recurring event, the main character is meant to learn something, and I really think that Maelyn does. I also very much enjoyed her relationship with Andres, but honestly, it was her relationship with Benny that was my favorite.
This is a charming holiday rom-com, and just what I needed to read this year. It has Christina Lauren’s typical charm. I found all of the characters extremely likable and was very interested in Maelyn’s journey.
