Synopsis

Me and my kings have come as close to breaking as I ever could have feared.

Just as we were finding a way to get past our difficulties, the stars have torn us apart. Can I fight against the will of the heavens or does fate have something unforeseen in store for me now?

While we’e reeling from the wheel of fate and trying to find a way to move on with our lives, our enemies are only growing more powerful.

Felix Oscura is haunting Alestria with his bloodthirsy need to steal the power of the clan he was never destined to rule over. And the illusive King is growing closer to their goal of taking control of the entire city and maybe even beyond.

With challenges around every corner and the mysteries behind my brother’s death slowly starting to unravel, will I be able to piece everything together and find a way to overcome the will of the stars before it’s too late?

Review

Broken Fae is the penultimate book in the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac, and let me tell you, it is my favorite so far.

I don’t usually post spoilers in these reviews, but I cannot help but say how much I adore the friendship between Ryder and Gabe! It is my favorite thing about the entire series, I think, and there are a lot of things I love about the series, so it’s that saying a lot. Leon is still my least favorite of the guys; however, he grew on me more in this book. I was a little concerned that he would have such a significant role in Broken Fae. But what happened in the last book and what happens in this book makes complete sense, and I really don’t see how the sisters could’ve done it any other way. And honestly, Leon is probably not my least favorite anymore, if only for getting Ryder to tell Elise she was his snakelet! This book focuses a lot on the relationship between the five main characters, and there are some very hot scenes!!!

While this is a character-driven book, the plot does not take a backseat, and we learn so much in this book. No (more) spoilers, but we learn a lot more about Gareth, and we get to see some people get what’s been coming to them. Though I haven’t read it yet, I think this book also starts the setup of the Darkmore Penitentiary series. We also get to see some of our favorite and not-so-favorite Zodiac Academy characters. I can’t wait to see how this ends, but I’m also so sad to let these characters go!

Troy Duran and Keira Stevens again did. fantastic job. I love listening to these books, they really bring the characters to life!
