Synopsis

I don’t believe in fairy tales and Prince Charming.

I believe in fear.

He taught me how to be afraid.

We first met on a playground on a wonderful summer day. It was the first time he hurt me and it wouldn’t be the last. For ten years, he’s been my tormentor and I’ve been his forbidden. But then he went away, and yet I was still afraid.

Now he’s back and wants more than just my tears. You see…he thinks I sent him away so now he wants revenge…and he knows just how to get it.

Review

Fear Me is a dark bully romance. There is also a good amount of mystery and suspense, which made it more interesting than the average bully romance.

Kieran is your pretty typical bully romance Hero, i.e., he’s an asshole.  He’s dark, scary, and completely unpredictable.  Honestly, I wouldn’t say I liked Kieran much; not even at the end of the book did I find him to have redeemed himself.  Lake was your typical bully heroine.  A little on the weak side, but with moments of strength.  Kieran is obsessed with Lake and has been for years.  It was interesting to learn more about Kieren, and there were a LOT of things I didn’t see coming.

Personally, I didn’t think the plot really picked up until closer to the end when you begin to learn more about Kieran’s background.  Before that, it mainly consists of all of the things Kieren does to make Lake’s life miserable, and while it isn’t boring, I would have liked a little more going on earlier on.

I will certainly continue on with this series, and not just because this book ended in a cliffhanger!
