If you enjoyed Den of Vipers, then Kings of Chaos is for you.
Kings of chaos felt very simmer to Den of Vipers, the guys in both were very similar, and though the story is not the same, there are some parallels. However, while I liked the guys, for the most part, River didn’t do much for me. I felt like she was one-dimensional, and I think having her back story earlier would have helped.
There was a lot of steam in this book, and for a lot of the book, the plot took a backseat to the steam. I would have liked a little more story, personally. I’m not sure if I will read more in this series though the ending of this does make me want to continue.
The narrators, Cassandra Medcalf and Daniel James Lewis, were both new to me. I liked them though I do wish that Daniel James Lewis did. A little more to make the male voice sound a little different. But both performances were well done, and there was some great emotion here.
Overall this one was not my favorite, and I’m not sure if I will continue this series.
