Review

Stone Cold Queen is the second book in the Sick Boys series.  I really enjoyed Pretty Little Savage, but I liked Stone Cold Queen even more.

I know the characters now, and I like them even more. There is not as much angst in this book, but I don’t think that everything is perfect between Dean and Avalon. They are still Dean and Vavlon, after all.   I still love Brax and Able and would love to read more about them.  Maybe they could get their own book?

The plot moves forward in this book, and we begin to learn a little more.  In other words, this isn’t a filler book. On the contrary, I would almost argue that this book has more plot than in the first.  It is setting up a pretty intriguing mystery, and I have suspicions about what’s really going on, but honestly, I don’t have any idea!

This book is still told from Avalon and Dean’s perspective, which I enjoyed.  I like that Avalon is still wild, and I love getting to read Dean’s reaction POV chapters.  Between the characters and plot, this book is terrific.  I cannot wait for the next one!
