Synopsis

I ran to Alaska to escape heartbreak, only to deliver myself into the jaws of a wolf.

Henry Wolf, that is. Owner of the luxury hotel chain, and an undeniably beautiful but cold, hard man who is quick with demands, slow with apologies.
And is my new boss.
Worse? I think he’s toying with me. He enjoys watching me squirm beneath his penetrating gaze. He relishes in messing with my mind. He seems to know that my body betrays me when he’s near.
And I’m beginning to think it’s only a matter of time before my job description expands to include tasks I can never talk about.

Review

I have seen this series EVERYWHERE, so I had decent expectations for Tempt Me, and it was good! Did it have some tropes I’m not super thrilled about? Yes, but it was very entertaining, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

This book is written by K.A. Tucker, yes that K.A. Tucker, there is a reason she published it under a pseudonym because this is no Simple Wild, let me tell you. It does take place in Alaska, but that’s where the similarities end. Henry is my favorite type of romance hero, a broody, dominant alphahole. On the other hand, Abbi is growing on me. She’s a meek, shy and sheltered virgin, but I see a backbone growing in her, and I have a feeling she will be a force to be reckoned with as the series progresses.

This book focuses almost exclusively on Henry and Abbi’s relationship. Yes, Abbu is working in a hotel, and there are a few side characters, but if you are looking for some other story, then at least in the first book, you aren’t going to get that. But that’s okay; this is a romance. It should focus on the romance between the two main characters, and I liked seeing their relationship progress. I like that Henry is pushing Abbi to be more confident.
This book hooked me very quickly, and I can’t wait to read more about Henry and Abbi, but mostly Henry.
