Wow, this book! The Obsession is crazy! I’m going to start by saying that this series is not for everyone, and I recommend reading reviews and checking trigger warnings before reading this.
The games that are played in this book are fantastic Marist is playing with both Royce and Macalister. She doesn’t know who she can trust and gets herself in some very tough situations.
Marist seemed very intelligent in the first book, but she didn’t seem to make the wisest choices in this one. Any interaction she had with Macalister ended with her making a bad choice. I get that he is extremely intelligent, intimidating, and commanding, but even still.
There were some difficult parts of this book, and the Hale’s are all sorts of messed up. However, I like Royce and Marist together, and I wish they would learn to trust each other because I think they could be very formidable if they did.
This book ends with a pretty big cliffhanger, and I am excited to see how all this ends.
