Synopsis

She tore both of our families apart with one confession, ending any chance of happiness for either of us and setting off a ripple effect of chaos.

Now she’s back as the new girl in school, and she doesn’t suspect the war that’s coming. She doesn’t realize the anger I’ve been harboring.

I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to ruin her life, and it’s finally here.

Because even traitors sleep—and I’m going to make sure she only dreams of me.

Then I’m going to destroy her.

Review

Wicked Dreams is a high school bully/enemies to lovers romance.  There is also an overarching mystery.  I liked Wicked Dreams so much that I read the other three books that relate to these characters.

Wicked Dreams is the story of Caleb and Margo, and I have to admit that this first book is a little confusing; you don’t get a lot of answers, and there were times that I felt like I was missing information.  Caleb and Margo have a lot of history and a very complicated relationship.  It made the story very interesting, and I liked getting to know the characters.

This is a bully romance, so there are a lot of dark elements in this book.  There are times I didn’t understand why Margo let Caleb get away with what he did.  The book was primarily told from Margo’s POV with a few of Caleb’s.  I would have liked more of Caleb’s POV to better understand what he is thinking, and as the series continues, you get more of his.

I listened to the audiobook of this and enjoyed the female narrator.  The male narrator wasn’t bad, but I did not believe he was a high schoolboy for one second.

This was a great read, and I will continue to read this series which is Eli’s story.
